Andorran Banking consolidates its support for Càritas Andorrana, which began eight years ago, with a contribution of €6,000 that will be allocated to the organization’s Primary Care program, one of the entity’s central pillars in the fight against social vulnerability.

This program aims to provide assistance, support, and comprehensive solutions to individuals and families facing precarious situations or economic, social, or essential service access difficulties. Although Andorra has a good social protection system, during 2025, Càritas Andorrana has assisted 294 families to date, representing 512 people, a figure similar to last year’s. Throughout 2024, the organization supported 552 people, who together presented 1,112 diverse problems. Of these, the program was able to resolve 75%, either through guidance, specialized referrals or financial and material assistance.

In recent years, the organization has observed an increase in families with reduced disposable income who, despite having jobs, face growing difficulties in meeting the demands of daily life, especially due to the rising cost of living, the increase in housing and utility costs. Additionally, Càritas Andorrana also assists a significant number of people who suffer from loneliness, anguish, or dislocation, for whom emotional and social support is crucial.

Andorran Banking’s objective is to support and accompany entities and organizations that develop projects with a real and positive impact on Andorran society, thus contributing to its progress and well-being.

During the presentation ceremony, the president of Càritas Andorrana, Anna Maria Villas, expressed: “This contribution allows us to respond more effectively to the needs we identify every day and to support a growing number of people. We greatly value this sustained collaboration.”

On behalf of Andorran Banking, the General Manager Esther Puigcercós highlighted the relevance of this collaboration: “Our commitment to the community is firm, and this contribution is a clear example of that.” As an institution representing the Andorran banking sector, Andorran Banking considers it essential to support projects that have a direct impact on people’s lives. In a challenging economic context, where many families are affected by the rising cost of living, it is essential to join forces with entities like Càritas Andorrana to ensure that no one is left behind. We will continue working to strengthen initiatives that contribute to social well-being and reinforce the cohesion of our country.”
