Andorra offers a great amount of interesting opportunities as a country and as a financial centre. We want to be near you, with absolute transparency, to explain topics such as the newly approved banking and financial regulation, the reports of the evaluations undertaken by the international competent organizations, the sector’s digitalization, useful and practical information on the Andorran banks as well as other important events that take place in the Principality.

Moneyval endorses Andorra's AML/CFT policy

Moneyval’s findings highlight the significant improvements made by Andorra in matters of money laundering and terrorist financing. Moneyval found no shortcomings in the implementation of 10 Recommendations such as in national co-operation and co-ordination, reporting of suspicious transactions, tipping-off and confidentiality and cash couriers. 24 Recommendations are rated Largely Compliant and 6 as Partially Compliant.

Andorran Banking renews its presidency

Pursuant to its articles of association, Andorran Banking has appointed its new President and Vice-president for a one year period starting January 2019.

The new appointments for 2019 have gone to Mr. Lluís Alsina Álvarez, General Director of Mora Banc and to Mr. Josep Segura Solà, General Director of BancSabadell d’Andorra.

AML training programme

The second edition of the anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing measures training programme organised by Andorran Banking and the University of Andorra in collaboration with the Andorran FIU comes to a close. The 47 professionals that past the course received their diploma in a ceremony attended by the Finance Minister, the FIU’s director and the Andorran Banking General Manager.

Collaboration with Càritas Andorrana primary care programme

For the second consecutive year, Andorran Banking collaborates with Càritas Andorrana. The organization will receive 6,000 euros that will help carry out its main care programme. Andorran Banking renews its commitment to improve Andorra’s social wellbeing.

Andorra FIS Ski World Cup Finals

Andorra organizes the 2019 FIS Ski World Cup Finals. The best skiers will be competing in Soldeu- El Tarter from March 11 to 17, 2019.
